Successful responses are JSON unless the endpoint is explicitly a well-known protocol document. Treat non-2xx responses as actionable failures and preserve the HTTP status when surfacing errors to your users.
LaunchPad may shed excess concurrent work with HTTP 503 and Retry-After rather than allowing unbounded request pressure. Clients should use reasonable caching, backoff and bounded retries.
